Challenge

The challenge of FProfs

Lieke has been working at FProfs for a while. But it was close, she might never have discovered how fun the company really is! Lieke: "That was because the website didn't give me such a fantastic feeling. It was old-fashioned and dated, not a good business card. It especially didn't match at all with the feeling I got when I met Jaap and Herman!"

Not long after Lieke started working for FProfs, she therefore threw out an idea. Wasn't it time to refresh the website, so it would be completely in line with the rest again. She was soon sent on a mission to find a website builder who could help.

Other parties seemed to beat around the bush more, but at Get Interactive they were very clear and honest.
Lieke - FProfs

"I started where many others probably start: by searching on Google. We wanted a website builder from the area, so I made a selection of 6 companies around Utrecht. I requested quotes, put our wishes on paper and eventually shared a list of pros and cons within FProfs. Get Interactive quickly surfaced as a potential candidate. The good conversations with Pim and Patrick ultimately won us over. We especially appreciated that they, as laypeople, could perfectly explain what they were going to do and what they needed. Other parties seemed to beat around the bush more, but at Get Interactive they were very clear and honest."

Solutions

Our plans

When we first sat down at FProfs, the problem was immediately clear: customers felt a big difference between the website and the people of FProfs themselves. We experienced that ourselves too, because we of course looked at the current website beforehand. The people in front of us radiated a completely different energy. We wanted to convey that energy in the new site as well.

The team indicated they were looking for support throughout the process, so we thought along with them from concept and strategy to execution. We examined the mission and vision and researched the target groups and sectors. Additionally, we of course did keyword research, looked at competitors and thought extensively about the best look and feel.

We went through an iterative process, as we like to do. That means we start with simple wireframes and work towards a 1.0 version via interaction designs and visual designs. That is now online, so we shift our focus to further developing it. The collaboration with FProfs was very pleasant, they challenged us fantastically. The result is certainly something to be proud of, we think!

Branding

A big problem with the old website was that customers couldn't identify with FProfs. The branding was very dusty and didn't match their services. We took the time to make the website radiate the same energy as the team.

Behind every room a story

Just like a website can evoke a certain atmosphere for the visitor, reception and meeting rooms do too. There's a story behind every room, which inspired FProfs to save a photo of such spaces for each client. We could perfectly use these photos for a beautiful reference page!

FProfs about the collaboration

"The collaboration went well," Lieke tells us. "We also really liked the working method. Pim explained before we started that we would often receive working intermediate products, and that was very pleasant. So it's not like they lock themselves in a room at Get Interactive and you have a website some time later. We were involved in every step, from wireframe to interaction design to working website. That was very nice.

As the project progressed, we could have used a bit more coaching sometimes. For example, we only found out very late that the logos we wanted to show from our customers had to be delivered in a certain file format. We didn't know that, and it ultimately took quite a lot of time to arrange. I understand that a project manager has since been hired to improve exactly these kinds of things. What is of course very pleasant is that your phone calls and emails are always answered very quickly and that people think along with you very well. We are proud of the end result! Jaap already said: I think we now get a completely different reaction from potential new colleagues and clients. They now want to get in touch with us 'thanks to' the new site, instead of 'despite'. And that is of course a big compliment!"

Like FProfs, we are also very satisfied and proud of the end result!
